We are looking to add a Total Rewards Analyst to join our Talent & Culture team in Waukee, IA. Candidates thrive in our environment when they harness their collaborative mindset, strong interpersonal communication skills, and a love of learning.

This role will support the enterprise total rewards strategy, practices and processes in order to attract, retain and engage employees. Responsible for administrating and analyzing all compensation programs during planning, design and implementation. Responsible for supporting administration of all benefit programs and serving as a backup when necessary.

Duties:

  • Administers annual compensation programs (merit and bonus), including creating and distributing annual compensation statements and bonus plans, managing employee and manager communication, and executing merit and bonus payments.
  • Supports business objectives and overall company initiatives by providing analytical support on total rewards.
  • Partners with Talent & Culture (HR) team on identifying and resolving compensation inquiries.
  • Complete frequent and ongoing compensation market studies for roles, both existing roles and new.
  • Maintains salary structure, including salary grades and ranges.
  • Assists with the development of compensation plans, including sales, service, and leadership.
  • Participates in salary surveys to collect and analyze market data to ensure competitive positioning of total compensation practices.
  • Partners with accounting team during the commission true-up process to answer any questions and ensure plans are paid accurately.
  • Serves as a point of contact and partners with accounting team during annual budget process on all compensation items.
  • Assists with the development and implementation of education, tools, and communication approaches to promote understanding of total rewards practices and aligned decision making.
  • Stays up to date with evolving regulations and federal and state laws related to pay levels and pay transparency, ensuring compliance in all compensation practices, including assisting legal team with exemption status reviews.
  • Assists with the submission of compensation and benefit reporting due to regulatory/compliance requirements.

  • Demonstrated competence in and/or experience with Human Resources, and compensation and benefit practices.

  • Ability to manage and maintain a variety of confidential information.
  • Ability and willingness to travel.
  • Ability to assist in other work-related duties, as necessary.
  • Must have excellent computer skills with HRIS systems and a high proficiency in Microsoft: Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Adobe Acrobat Pro.
  • Ability and willingness to pursue relevant designations and/or continuing education, as appropriate.
  • Knowledge of human resource compliance issues such as ADA, FMLA, Sexual Harassment, Discrimination, EEOC Guidelines, and all other applicable federal, state, and local guidelines.
  • Must be knowledgeable of and comply with HMA’s Client Privacy Policy, HIPAA regulations and E&O procedures and policies.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources or Business-Related Field is preferred.
  • Experience: At least 3+ years’ experience working in compensation required with benefits experience preferred.
