We are looking to add a Project Manager to join our Strategy team in Waukee. This role is responsible for leading medium to large sized project(s) and team(s) towards successful project completion within scope, deadlines, and budget. The ideal candidate will have strong skills in developing and overseeing project plans and is accountable for ensuring the objectives of the project are achieved.  Partnering with business and technology stakeholders to ensure a successful start-up and completion of a project is an integral part of the role. 

Duties:

  • Schedule Management: Lead efforts involving schedules, resource, and capacity planning to drive project towards timely completion.
  • Resource Management: Lead the design, development, and implementation of work plans to determine the required tasks and resources for complex projects spanning multiple business units. Organize, facilitate, and lead teams towards successful project completion.
  • Integration Management: Coordinate projects with other on-going efforts.
  • Financial Management: Monitor project progress and anticipated total spend against budget and ROI.
  • Risk Management: Identify and anticipate risks and issues; facilitate resolution, mitigation, and appropriate escalation.
  • Vendor Management: Communicate and manage work with third-party vendors to meet project requirements.
  • Stakeholder Management: Identify all stakeholders impacted by the project, managing their expectations and project involvement as needed.
  • Quality Management: Ensure quality standards are defined, monitored, and met throughout the project.
  • Communication Management: Ensure all key stakeholders are kept informed of project issues, obstacles and progress, including status reporting. Conduct post project reviews and communicate lessons learned.
  • Scope Management: Partners with business and other areas such as IT, Marketing and HR to manage scope of projects. Manages reductions and additions to scope through an established change management process to ensure right work is done to complete the project.

  • Demonstrated and proven track record of successful project implementations.
  • Experience of the whole project life cycle.
  • Ability to manage projects, lead people, and influence change.
  • Ability to successfully plan and facilitate meetings to uncover and resolve issues, drive decision making, and keep objectives in focus.
  • Ability to have a strong impact and influence key decisions.
  • Ability to manage the scope change process and issue identification/resolution with all stakeholders.
  • Ability to Liaise between enterprise services and business partners to ensure collaboration and coordination.
  • Ability to consult in an organization with a matrixed environment.
  • Must be knowledgeable of and comply with HMA’s Client Privacy Policy, HIPAA regulations and E&O procedures and policies.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree or related experience required. PMI certification preferred.
  • Experience: 4-7 years of experience as a project manager. Experience in both waterfall and agile environments helpful.
