Split Content

There are a wide variety of options available for split content components across the site. Some offer split content with media. Others with dual content. Others still with an accordion. The split content media can be mixed and matched in a large variety of ways between image treatments and content types.

Simple

This version of the split content uses a simple content model, which provides a headline, description, and CTA. The variation shown here pairs the “simple” content with the Full (Stretch) image treatment, which scales the image to responsively meet the height / width requirements of the block.

When using the `simple` content model, color theming will be applied to the full background of the content. Recommended image size to match: 720×720 (1:1 aspect ratio)

Overlap / Link List

This version of the split content uses a link list content model, which provides a headline, description, and a repeater field that allows for an unlimited number of links to be added. The color theme selected will control the hover state of the link items.

Paired with this we see the overlap media option selected. This allows for the image to appear inside of a color box that breaks outside of the split content block in a controlled manner. When using this image treatment it’s recommend to use transparent PNGs for the image as the background color will be applied automatically via the color theme treatment selected for the block. In this combination the color theme will also take affect on the link list items when hovered.

Recommended image size: 720×585 (transparent PNG).
Recommended number of links: 8 or less (9+ could cause the image background to start stretching to accomodate).

Scrolling

This version of the split content uses a scrolling content model, which provides a headline and a repeater field that allows for an unlimited number of mini text blocks to be added. Each text group provides a headline and description. The color theme selected will control the color state of each headline in the scroller text blocks.

When the Scrolling content type is selected you will also see a field for “block layout”. These options provide a selection of four different color block variations. Note that these color variations are independent of the color theme selection used to control the headline text.

Locations

This version of the split content uses the locations content model, which automatically pulls in all locations from the Locations custom post type. Each location is set to link out to its associated, internal Wordpress page.

The locations variation also offers a headline field that will appear above the branded dropdown. This block offers full color theming and the color theme will take affect on any text wrapped in a span tag inside the headline.

Dual Content

The dual content block offers different content variations for the left and right side of the block. On the Left Content we have options for a headline, description, image, and color treatments. The color treatments in this section will be specific to the left content and will take affect on any text wrapped in a headline span tag.

On the Right Content we have options for mini cards. Each card has an image, text, and color treatment option. The color selected here is specific to that individual card and takes affect inside the headline span tags.

There is also a section under General Options in which you can choose to enable / disable blocks for this module. No color theming is available for the blocks, they simply show or don’t.

Recommended image size for left content: 150×100
Recommended image size for mini cards: 72×72 (small 1:1 aspect ratio)

Split Content Accordion

The split content accordion block provides an image, headline, description, and accordion fields. It offers an unlimited number of accordion items, each with a headline and description.

Color theming for this module takes affect on the background of the content. The color blocks are added automatically and do not adjust based on the color theme. Recommended image size: 720×720
