We are looking to add a Security Analyst to join our Information Security team in Waukee, IA. Ideal candidates will have an innovative mindset, strong interpersonal skills, and a love of learning.

Here’s just a bit of what you’d do:

  • Perform day-to-day incident response including log monitoring and investigation.
  • Investigate and research possible security violations.
  • Technical support including monitoring of multiple IDS, documenting security policies and procedures, and participating in security meetings and activities.
  • Work with Information Security team resources to coordinate security tasks.
  • Provide leadership to your peers and key business stakeholders as well as initial and ongoing security training.
  • Analyze the security of the organization’s system and information assets. Assist in establishing security controls by developing framework for controls and levels of
  • Perform duties as assigned by the Information Security Team.

You’d also need to be equipped with the knowledge, skills and abilities to do the job, including, but not limited to having: 

  • A working knowledge of security standards, including the latest version of HIPAA compliance standards.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • The ability to work collaboratively on a dynamic team and effectively solve problems.
  • The ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • A working knowledge of the NIST 800-53 or ISO 27001/2

And, let’s not forget the qualifications for the job: 

  • A Bachelor’s or Associates degree in Information Security, Technology or Business preferred.
  • 1 – 3 years of help desk experience preferred.
  • Experience in insurance, healthcare, or financial services preferred.
  • Experience with setting up or maintaining security framework (ISO, COBIT, Ect.).
  • Experience with security and monitoring software (IPS, IDS, DLP, AV, Ect.).
