Holmes Murphy Grows Architecture and Engineering Consulting Capabilities with Key New Hire

Andrew Patton to bring industry knowledge and robust experience to Holmes Murphy clients.

Today, Holmes Murphy announced the appointment of Andrew Patton as A&E Technical Consultant. In this role, Patton will help lead risk management education and resources for Holmes Murphy’s Architecture, Engineering, and Construction clients, drawing upon his background as a construction lawyer in a private practice. He will also manage complex claims, collect trend analytics, work on contract reviews for insurability, deliver educational materials, and be a consultative source for technical industry risk management solutions.

Patton will guide a number of key initiatives to drive further success of this growing field at Holmes Murphy, helping manage risks inherent in professional practice, and continuously adding value for clients through a number of actions, including coaching on innovative strategies involving up-to-date products and industry best practices.

Patton brings over a decade of experience to this role, previously working in professional defense litigation with a focus on construction law, providing legal services for design professionals. Throughout his career, Patton has worked particularly close with Architects and Engineers, and groups such as the American Institute of Architects (AIA) and the Engineers Joint Contract Document Committee (EJCDC). Patton is also a member of the Iowa State Bar Association.

Patton currently lives in the Des Moines area and enjoys spending time outdoors with his wife and four children.
