Transforming Luck into a Predictable High Performing Safety Culture
Join us for the Master Builders of Iowa Annual Winter Conference! The three-day event features numerous activities, including a breakfast sponsored by Holmes Murphy on Tuesday, February 23.
Our very own Loss Control Consultant, Josh Jacobson, will also be presenting. His topic, “Transforming Luck into a Predictable High Performing Safety Culture,” will focus on the following:
What if there was a way to systematically predict when and where losses may occur on a construction site?
Is it possible to remove a perception and assumption plaguing our industry that “safety sucks” and literally sucks resources and time?
These two questions will be answered in this interactive and thought provoking session. Josh will define the power of a near miss reporting and a feedback system that is integrated into the safety, quality and production of a jobsite. Attendees will understand how a near miss system is utilized by all levels of labor and management in continuously improving the company’s working climate and minimizing loss or property and quality of life.
Attendees will walk away with a template for implementing and tracking near miss reports, providing effective feedback and utilizing a new way of safety program management to proactively influence their working climate using the principals of Reinforcement, Education, Accountability; Leadership and Management.
