Game Changers Roaming Our Holmes Murphy Halls

You’ve heard of the Heisman, Stanley Cup, and Masters…but the recipients of those awards don’t have anything on our own Holmes Murphy Game Changers.

Before I get too far with this blog…I’d like to give you a little background. A couple of years ago, we developed what we call the “Game Changer” award. Without getting into all the specifics, our Game Changer award is a service award that annually honors three employees who live our aspirations each day. There’s a nomination process by Holmes Murphy leaders, and an award winner is chosen from our Corporate Services, Employee Benefits, and Property Casualty areas. With more than 750 employees, winning the award (let alone being nominated for it) is incredibly prestigious.

That brings me back to who this blog is about — Karla Radda, Ruben Rodarte, and R.W. Smith. If you’ve had the pleasure to work with or meet any or all of these individuals, you know they epitomize what it means to be Game Changers. They’re the best of the best from within our client service teams. Allow me to give you a little insight into each.

First up is Karla. Without her, I’d be lost. She keeps me moving in the right direction and is always by my side as we work to ensure our employees are engaged and our culture remains top-notch! You may have noticed a couple of our offices moved into new spaces. Much of that is due to Karla. Over the past two years, she has spent hours reviewing new office locations, working on contracts, picking out architects and design teams, testing furniture, making sure employees were informed about their office move logistics, and the list goes on. And this being all in addition to her normal workload. A big thank you to Karla and the teams she led who helped bring the culture and energy of Holmes Murphy to life!

Ruben has been described as the “operating heart of ACAP Health” by his leaders. He’s a cultural leader, a solver of challenging problems, and an agent of business transformation. Depending on the day, you can find him wearing a gorilla suit (The Ambassador of Fun), talking youth baseball with the team, or gesturing passionately in an organizational development discussion where he’s challenging the group to push further than they think possible. Ruben is the consistent go-to leader on the ACAP team. Thank you, Ruben, for being a role model leader!

R.W. exhibits Holmes Murphy’s aspirations each day…the top of which is Count on Me. This past year, he stepped up and took on numerous clients in addition to helping many others during employee transitions. We challenged his capabilities and capacity, and he exceeded without complaint. R.W. is simply a great consultant. He’s personable, knowledgeable, and reliable…and I think it’s safe to say if you’re one of his clients…you’re likely thrilled with the level of service he provides. Thank you, R.W., for all you do for our Property Casualty clients!

I love the Holmes Murphy culture, our employees’ engagement with clients, and their willingness to live out our aspirations. I hope you see this same level of service each day you work with us!

P.S. If you see or work with Karla, Ruben, or R.W., I encourage you to congratulate them. We are proud of their efforts, and we hope you are, too!
