Holmes Murphy Releases Community Impact Report: $1.8 Million Donated and 54,000 Hours Volunteered in 2025

Holmes Murphy is pleased to share its 2025-2026 Community Impact Report, signifying the company’s dedication to making a meaningful and positive difference in the lives of its community members. Established in 1932, Holmes Murphy has operated as a mission-focused enterprise committed to creating purposeful change — not just through individual, team, and corporate efforts, but also in collaboration with clients, business partners, and community members. At the root of Holmes Murphy’s core spirit is a culture that cares, which has made the last 94 years in business possible.

“Over the past year, our 1,400+ Holmes Murphy employees united with a shared purpose: to strengthen our impact in the communities we call home. Through the resources and opportunities offered by the Holmes Murphy Foundation, we embraced new ways to give back and make a meaningful difference,” said Dan Keough, Holmes Murphy Chairman and CEO.

In 2025, Holmes Murphy increased its impact and giving. Here are just a few of the many stats:

  • Non-profits Impacted — 473
  • Volunteer Hours Donated and Time Off Hours Used — 54,058 and 9,692, respectively (a 125% increase in volunteerism over 2024), which equals an estimated value of volunteer hours at an additional $1.8 million dollars contributed to philanthropic organizations (Independent Sector)
  • Direct Giving Program — $1.79 million

“Our commitment goes far beyond giving our time, talents, and resources. It’s rooted in intentional investment, purposeful innovation, and creating environments where we genuinely love what we do and who we do it with,” said Tom Stewart, PLUS President and Holmes Murphy Foundation Executive Sponsor. “By giving back and looking ahead, we have the ability to strengthen our culture and uplift our communities with compassion and connection.”

Holmes Murphy continued its efforts to embed the principles of being committed to creating a workplace where everyone feels valued, included, and empowered to reach their unique potential.

In 2025, Holmes Murphy’s Employee Resource Groups (ERGs) continued to strengthen a culture where every voice matters and every person belongs. With a 36% increase in ERG membership and participation rates three times the Fortune 500 average, these groups played a critical role in fostering connection, encouraging brave conversations, and creating opportunities for professional and leadership development. Through cultural education sessions, mental wellbeing programming, networking events, and community engagement initiatives, ERGs helped employees embrace the unique potential they bring to work each day.

“At Homes Murphy, our spirit of independence fuels a culture of care brought to life by our employees,” said Stewart. “It’s what empowers us to uplift potential, strengthen our communities, and make decisions that always put people first.”

Beyond giving dollars and volunteer hours, Holmes Murphy is also advancing the insurance industry through innovation with intention. Since co-founding BrokerTech Ventures (BTV), the company has helped build a collaborative ecosystem that unites brokers, carriers, wholesalers, startups, investors, and technology leaders. Through initiatives like BrokerTech Connect and its internal Innovate Community, Holmes Murphy continues to challenge convention, create smarter solutions, and strengthen the global insurtech landscape.

“Year after year, I’m in awe of our results and the real change we make for those around us and even globally,” said Keough. “This report tells the story of our collective impact, and I couldn’t be prouder of our employees.”
