Understand the importance of talking about suicide in construction. The construction industry has one of the highest rates of suicide. In honor of Suicide Prevention Month, Holmes Murphy is offering VitalCog® Suicide Prevention in Construction training. VitalCog® is an evidence-based suicide prevention and mental health training program overseen by the Helen and Arthur E. Johnson Depression Center at the University of Colorado Anshutz Medical Campus.
This 2-hour in-person training, which includes videos, group discussions/exercises, and roleplays, gives participants at all levels of a construction organization the skills and tools to appreciate the critical need for suicide prevention while creating a forum for dialogue and critical thinking about workplace mental health challenges, and by promoting help-seeking and help-giving.
