Care doesn’t always come with a job title—but it shows up everywhere.
Sometimes it looks like bedtime routines and therapy appointments. Other times it’s holding space for a grieving colleague or checking in after a tough client call. It’s the kind of work that doesn’t show up on calendars or to-do lists—but it’s the heart work that keeps teams, families, and communities going.
That’s what we honor with our Holmes Murphy Heart & Soul Caregiver Award, now in its second year.
This award reflects the expanded understanding that caregiving happens across every role, every department, and every part of our lives—and it’s not limited to parents. It includes those caring for partners, parents, children, friends, neighbors, coworkers—and sometimes, all of the above. We aim to uplift those whose caregiving might go unnoticed—but never unappreciated.
I’m thrilled to share this year’s winners of the Heart & Soul Caregiver Award:
- Anna Jordal – Growth & Development Consultant
- Carly Hanson – Communications & PR Specialist
- Erin Holland – Sr. Client Service Consultant, Employee Benefits
- Rock Whitehill – Sr. Risk Management Consultant & Team Lead, Innovative Captive Strategies
- Zach Sims – Client Executive, Property Casualty

Anyone who knows these people knows how much they deserve to be recognized for their caregiving here and beyond. We are so grateful they choose to share their heart and soul with Holmes Murphy.
Our Heart & Soul Caregiver Award nominees were chosen by colleagues and leaders who saw authentic care in action. People who show up consistently, love fiercely, and remind us what it means to put people first—not just in life, but at work, too. While only a few could be selected as this year’s winners, every nominee has already made a lasting impact. Their care, commitment, and quiet strength make them champions in the lives of those around them.
Each of these employees represents a unique story, but all share a common thread: they show up with heart. And through their quiet, consistent care, they make Holmes Murphy a better place to work—and the world a better place to live.
