Please join Holmes Murphy Fraternal Practice and Dr. Joshua Robinson, Associate Vice President for Student Affairs & Dean of Students at Jacksonville State University, as he shares the results of a study examining the policies campuses use to make events safer.
High-risk drinking among college students is a public health concern with consequences for individual students and colleges and universities. Implementing effective policies and interventions to curb high-risk behaviors is imperative to reduce high-risk drinking behaviors on campuses. However, research on the effectiveness of a policy used by many campuses, such as event registration, is limited. The objective of Dr. Joshua Robinson’s study was to understand the differences in behaviors at unregistered and registered events and explore how students’ attitudes and opinions about the policies influenced their behaviors.
Please join us for the webinar to learn the results and recommendations from Dr. Robinson’s research, learn about Holmes Murphy event planning resources and engage in a discussion around evidence-informed practices to inform prevention, policies, and interventions.
