ACEC-Illinois is a statewide business association of more than two hundred consulting engineering firms that together employ more than 10,000 engineers, architects, land surveyors, scientists and support personnel. Member firms contract with public and private sector clients designing bridges, buildings, environmental systems, roadways, water supply, waste treatment facilities and complex mechanical and electrical systems.

The Engineering Excellence Awards Competition recognizes projects of engineering achievement by Illinois consulting engineering firms.  Entries are judged on the basis of engineering excellence, the degree to which the client’s needs are met, and the benefits to the public welfare and private practice of engineering. Winning projects will be displayed during the conference.
