Storytellers Among Us
While hard to believe, the celebration of Holmes Murphy’s 90th anniversary during 2022 has now come and gone. At every juncture throughout the year, we seized moments to capture the celebratory spirit of 90 years in business, harnessing the voices of our employees, clients, and communities.
As a part of our 90th, we deployed a partnership with the global media company — Monocle. While Monocle may be headquartered in Zurich, Switzerland, it became clear to us that their ideal clients and business partners were nearly identical to Holmes Murphy’s.
As such, Holmes Murphy was featured in their annual economic outlook publication — The Forecast, with a custom feature under the headline “Insuring a Bright Future.” This was an “outside-in” view of who we are as a company. We know who we are, but having the ability to have an “outsider” elaborate on our story from their lens meant the world to us.
If you know us, you know our founders established an entrepreneurial mindset and innovative spirit that has allowed generation after generation of our people to build a company that you can trust. At the root of this is Holmes Murphy’s core spirit of a culture that cares — we love what we do and who we do it with. So, why am I telling you all of this? Well, I view 2023 as the year of storytelling for Holmes Murphy — an authentic opportunity for our employees, clients, and communities to share their vantage point of working for, with, and alongside Holmes Murphy.
After all, the best stories are those which are shared through unique voices, with a diverse lens, and those which have infinite possibilities. Our Holmes Murphy story is just beginning, and I can’t wait to see how the pages of 2023 unfold.
