DES MOINES, Iowa, July 28, 2011 — Holmes Murphy & Associates has retained its spot as the 22nd largest independent risk management and insurance brokerage firm in the United States and the 9th largest privately owned brokerage firm for the second year in a row. The ranking was published in the July 18 issue of Business Insurance magazine, which annually ranks the 100 largest U.S. insurance brokers.
