Holmes Murphy & Associates Honored as Philanthropic Leader
DES MOINES — June 28, 2011 — Holmes Murphy & Associates has been named a winner of the 2011 Central Iowa Philanthropy Day Award presented by the Central Iowa Chapter of the Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP).
Holmes Murphy was named Outstanding Corporate/Foundation. The Philanthropy Day Awards recognize individuals and organizations that have made significant contributions to the quality of life in Central Iowa. This is the 26th year the Central Iowa Chapter of AFP has participated in this national day of recognition, honoring philanthropists in communities throughout the United States.
Holmes Murphy will be recognized along with other philanthropic community leaders at the Annual Philanthropy Day Luncheon Nov. 18. Other recipients of the honor are:
Outstanding Philanthropist — Dr. Richard Deming, Des Moines
Outstanding Volunteer Fundraiser — Stan and Jody Reynolds, Des Moines
Outstanding Youth in Philanthropy — Anne Buscher, West Des Moines
